Cajun dies in McKinney E-mail
Wednesday, 22 July 2009 08:46

Just verified that the only two Cajun restaurants in McKinney have closed their doors, basically killing an entire Category of places to eat. So if you enjoyed either the Rockhard Cajun Café or Dodies then you unfortunately will no longer be able to eat at these places. I don’t know why they closed as both places have no visible trails that I can find to get a hold of anyone. I never ate at the Cajun Café so I can’t speculate as to the reasons, I would like to say that it was due to the economy, but they were in a location that multiple other restaurants had failed in as well. So maybe that location will be better suited as a quilting store or nail salon. Dodies I have eaten at, well sort of; I didn’t actually eat all of my food and had to go to Taco Bell afterwards. This happens when a place goes down in service and quality as they did. It was about 2 years ago when I first heard of them on the news. They were so busy and vibrant with service and entertainment that they featured as “a place to be”. Then they did what a lot of places do; which is to stale mate out. It is a great location and the right person will make that a great restaurant location someday.

Note: I am aware that Popeyes is Cajun Chicken, but they are fast food and not a restaurant.
