Nice Place - Good Promotion
by MamaThunder
on July 24, 2009
I went on their Free Tea Day that I saw promoted on Face Book on July 23rd. The place was pretty busy at lunch time, and the lines moved quickly. Management was at the door to great folks, and that was nice.
When I walked in it struck me with a down home type of atmosphere and it was much bigger inside that I thought from the outside. Kind of like a black eyed pea - deli a little bit. Kids liked it so much, they wanted to stay and eat there...but alas - we had to take it to-go.
The free tea was for everyone and it was large size cups! And, you didn't HAVE to buy anything to get it. (I was surprised at that. Most companies that offer promotions do the smallest size thing possible and there is usually a catch)
The tea was very good and I can see why folks are hooked on it.

I wasn't hungry, but I did get my 12 yr old a Sicilian Cheese Panini. He loved it and I had a couple of bits and thought it was pretty good as well.
Prices are as expected for the type of place it is ($6-$8 for a sandwich/spud/salad).

I also let the kids get two giant sized choc. chip cookies and my total was right at $9 for the sandwich and the two cookies and 3 free teas. But I can't tell you how good the cookies were personally, because the boys ate them all gone and didn't even leave me a crumb. Yes, yes they still have a home. LOL

Next time I go, I'm going to try the Banana Pudding Pie for $4.95. If I hadn't been on such a kick for root beer floats at home lately, I sure would have gone ahead and bought it though. It looked REALLY good and the waitress/cashier said it was her favorite desert there.

Overall, I was pretty impressed. And look forward to eating there.

Good food, convenient and quick
by Bonewoman

My Sunday School class likes to go here after church occasionally. It's really good and inexpensive. Portions are large though, so you may want a to-go box.
