It just sucks

I decided to get a pizza to take out yesterday. My first time to try this place. OMG Totinos frozen is light years better. I'll never go back. Very bad pizza....I'll stick with Jim's from now on.

One of my favorites ...

I have never experienced the service problems or attitude that some of the others mention in other reviews.
I am willing to accept the space limitations because it is locally owned. I also rarely deviate from my usual--because it's so darn good. The tortellini ala panna is to die for. You get a lot of food for a great price.

Great food and Bring your own wine

This is a very good casual Italian Restaurant. Good value for your dollar. If you are comparing it to the chains that cost twice as much, you will probably notice more casual service and decor. I really enjoy the casualness. It's great for families. The food is excellent. Love their chicken dishes and the Tortelline Sciliano. Also they have daily specials for lunch that are fantastic. Bring your own wine is fantastic!!

NEVER AGAIN!!

The last time I stepped foot in this place ended in us leaving a 25 cent tip. I've had better service at Wal-Mart while getting an oil change (I'm talking about the time the Wal-Mart employee put a razor blade in my face). The food tasted like frozen Stouffer's, which I have no problem with....if I make it at home. They claim to serve italian food yet they only serve reheated garbage by waiters who have no business being around people.

Not a HAPPY camper!!

I felt compelled to post because of the less than pleasant experience during my last visit to Sicily's, which by the way was one of my favorite places to go to for comfort Italian food- (it was convinient to go for lunch, because of distance from my office) and the Chicken fettuccini Alfredo was one of my favorites- I say WAS, because I will NOT EVER, go back as a result of a very discourteous waiter, and the treatment from the owner, who really did not show any interest or concern, in the manner his staff handled our horrid lunch situation- order was all wrong, never once apologized, then took it back with an attitude, never came back with the order until it was time to leave(Everyone in our table had finished their food) and not once did the waiter come back to the table) when the food finally arrived I just aked the waiter to give me a to go container, as I was unable to eat- When it came time to pay the bill, it was a disaster, I was charged double for my trouble!!! and when someone from our table questioned the tab, the owner said- "there are no free lunches" we were so apalled, needless to say embarrased, as to how he was adressing the situation.. Our intent was not to get FREE anything, but simply to get serviced, with courteous staff,& Great food- So sorry to say, it was a huge dissapointment- As a result of that incident, I have never returned since- I was a regular every week- and ocassionally on weekend with the kiddos- No More- Not even FREE!!!!!! Kindness and respect are essential in any place.. And as far as I am concerned, they really failed to step up to the plate on this day- Mr. Owner- Your staff is not always right- Take care of your customers, they are the reason why your little place has been a sucess- An apology would have been nice, but it was never offered-
You can have good food, but if service is not good, people will always remember how you made them feel, and for me and my co-workers, it was not a good experience- Shape up.. or ship out Sicily's- No stars from me.. Just a very, very, low score!!!!!

A not so happy camper-

Not a Favorite

Being from the east coast and living in an Italian neighborhood, this food doesn't even come close to "the real thing." The best item served there is the rolls. It's usually crowded at lunch time but that's because the courthouse is across the street.
Spend your money elsewhere.

Good as It Gets ...
by PurpleFreddy

My family simply loves Sicily's. We still have many items on the menu we haven't tried because we all have our favorites and don't want to deviate. The bread and salad (with the infamous house dressing) is good on its own. My oldest daughter and I simply adore the Tortellini Alla Penna. The warm, creamy goodness of the sauce is so good it must be against the law.
The sampler satisfies the need for variety without being too heavy. After all these years, we still haven't tried the pizza, which I hear is the best I can get in McKinney.

MMMMmmmm Lobster Raviolli
by MamaThunder
on May 21, 2009
They run a off the menu special all the time called Lobster Raviolli.

IT'S TO DIE FOR.

I can't ever try any of their other food - cuz I can't ever order anything else but that.

It's sooo good. I'm not a good enough reviewer to describe it. But it's creamy tomato like, with a good cream cheese lobster like stuffing and huge raviolli's and spinich is in it too (which I don't like, but you can't tell) and the bread just soaks up the sauce. OH - IT'S JUST HEAVENLY.

Go and get you some of that goodness.

Then get a cheesecake for desert. (but you might have to get that to go. I never have enough room left over)
