It's good if you don't get the steak. I have to agree with Orange5 about that. This is a huge problem for a steakhouse!

Their chicken fried steak is delicious but their fillets were pretty tasteless. Their side items are good though. If they could make a more flavorful steak then they would have it made.

Great service and atmosphere.

Heard great things about Ricks, so we were anxious to visit. Ate there twice, and both times the steaks were not so good. Great atmosphere, friendly service, but the food was disappointing. On one Saturday night around 7pm, they were already out of the Prime Rib special, so we tried the bone-in rib-eye. It was very tough. Tried again a few weeks later, not much better. Maybe we just had bad luck. We really wanted to like it.

I would say Rick's is the best Steakhouse in McKinney but that would be false since they are really the best steakhouse in North Texas. Rick's quality, selection, service and presentations is way way above the rest. We used to drive an hour to Addision's steak restaurant row to eat at Sullivan's, Bob's, Ruths, III Forks, Del Frisco, Silver Fox etc. etc. I have had them all and Rick's steaks and service is the the best. Sit back, relax and enjoy the best steaks in North Texas at Ricks.

Rick is always so friendly and always stops at each table to make sure everything is perfect. 5 STARS!!! Thanks Rick.

P.S. They also have a great hotel in case you eat too much and need a place to rest.

Rick's has great service and wonderful chicken fried sirloin that my hubby loved! He took me for our anniversary and we had a wonderful time. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Dessert was fabulous!

Rick's is by far the best restaurant in McKinney. The food is delicious, the wine list amazing, and the service impeccable. This combined with the restaurant's elegantly at-home decor and stellar host, Rick Wells, makes each and every dining experience unique and special.

The food is great, the service is wonderful, the personal attention is just right, the wine is excellent, and the decor is classy. Everything needed for a special date or special someone. And the price was fair! Even Rick himself came by and thanked us for coming!

We love Rick's! The atmosphere in both the restaurant and bar is great and the food in delicious. I love the chopped salad and the salmon; my husband loves the steaks and never leaves the restaurant without at least 1 or 2 slices of the banana coconut cream pie. One time Rick sent us home with an entire pie! Rick is very personable. He makes a point to visit every table.

We would like to thank Rick's Chophouse for allowing us to be tape outside of their Restaurant. Literally right now as we speak.
