Mediocrity at it’s finest! E-mail

It’s the time of year when the kids soccer season sadly comes to an end, of course only sad for the kiddos, for my wife and I, we have been given our Saturdays back. This invariably comes with the teams trophy give away and trip to a pizza buffet. This seems to be counter-productive when you think about it, we put our kids in soccer to tell them to stay fit and be active and then introduce them to the world of all-u-can eat pizza. We have three kids in soccer which translates to three soccer team lunches and I figured rather than doing three separate reviews I would just take a moment to talk about all three of them here.

Our son’s team went to Pizza Inn for the buffet which in all honesty was mediocre. The pizza was at times hot and fresh and at times old and cold. They appeared to have one sever for the entire restaurant which translates to only one drink refill. This is the worst thing someone could do to make feel like I wasted my money. They did have a room towards the back where we were able to separate ourselves from the rest of the patrons. So out of five stars, I would give it two and a half.

Our oldest daughters party was at Peter Piper Pizza, which of course just consolidated down to the location off of Hwy 121. After all was said and down; the food was great, but the service was the worst we have had in awhile. It really just seemed as if no one cared and in this economy, you have to care more than you have ever had to before. So we rated the food at five and the service at a tiny little one. So by the law off averages they get two and a half stars.

Our youngest soccer playing daughters' team went to Scotty P's for some burgers and fries. The food was Ok, however, it wasn't up to their normal levels of quality that we have become accustom to here. The room that we were in was very loud as well and the service was nothing worth remembering. So for this one it seems they would also get two and a half stars.

I know I have very high standards when comes to the meals I spend my money on but for these meals they all seemed to be mediocrity at it's finest!
