Jiffy Tomato Aspic

Oh Boy!


Bring to the boiling point 1 - 14 oz. can of tomato juice.

Dissolve in it 1 pkg. lemon or meat flavored gelatin.

Stir in:

  • 1 T. vinegar

  • 1 C. minced celery

  • 3 T. minced green pepper

  • 1 T. grated onion

  • 1/4 tsp. salt

  • pinch sweet basil

Add to this in all about 2 C. of solid ingredients of your choosing. These may be cubed cooked meat, cooked or canned fish, cucumbers, etc.

Pour the gelatin into oiled molds and set. Serve with mayonnaise.
