Dutch Apple Pie

What makes it "Dutch"???

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 - 10" pie crust.

  • Apples

  • 1 C. heavy cream

  • 2 T. flour

  • 1/2 C. brown sugar

  • Butter

  • Cinnamon


Preparation:

  • Preheat oven to 450.

  • Line pie plate with pastry and fill with apples cut in thick slices.

  • Press apples gently into pastry and pour over top mixture of cream, flour, and brown sugar.

  • Dot generously with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon.

  • Bake at 450 for 15 min. then at 350 until apples are cooked and pastry lightly browned.

  • Serve warm with Alec and Dad's Vanilla Ice Cream!
