One from Aunt Phyl and one from Aunt Pauline
Dunking Sauce ala Phyl:
1 C. sour cream
1/4 C. capers
1 clove garlic, mashed
1 T. chopped dill
2 T. chopped parsley
1 C. mayonaise
3 T. chopped chives
1 1/2 tsp. paprika
1 T. lemon juice
Combine all ingredients, mix well and chill.
Remoulade ala Pauline (for shrimp):
3 hard boiled eggs(just yolks)
1 raw egg yolk
1 T. tarragon vinegar
3 T. olive oil 1
/2 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
salt and pepper to taste
Juice of 1/2 lemon
horseradish (optional)
Blend well, and serve with cold cooked shrimp.
