"Goopey" Ham

Ham Steak Simmered In Milk With Mustard & Brown Sugar

Preparation:


Braise ham steak (3/4" thick) in heavy skillet or dutch oven. A cast iron one with a lid is best.


Spread with 1/4'" prepared mustard and 1/2'" brown sugar.


Pour milk around steak, cover tightly and bake in 350 oven for 1 hour.


Ham may be simmered on top of stove for same length of time.


Milk should not cover ham.
