Butterscotch Lace Cookies
1 C. butter, melted
2 1/4 C. rolled oats
1 T. molasses
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 1/2 C. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 T. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
Mix sugar with butter; pour over oats.
Let stand over night to absorb butter.
The Next Day:
Heat oven to 375.
Mix all ingredients into oat mixture.
Drop level teaspoons of dough 2" apart on greased sheet.
Bake 5-7 min. until brown at edges.
Allow to cool on sheet for several min. before removing to rack to cool completely.
