Pie Crusts


 

8" - 9" - Double Crust:

  • 1 1/2 C.flour

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 1/2 C. shortening

  • 4-5 T. cold water

10" - Double Crust:

  • 2 C.flour

  • 1 tsp. salt

  • 2/3 C. shortening

  • 5-6 T. cold water

For single crust, unfilled shells, bake in 450 oven for 15 min. Prick bottom of shells with fork before baking.


Graham Cracker Crust

  • 18 graham crackers (1 1/2 C.)

  • Add 1/3 C. sugar and 1/2 C. melted butter; mix well.

  • Press firmly in greased 9" pie pan.

  • Chill until set, about 45 minutes.
